Welcome to Ambleside Adventure, your gateway to unforgettable outdoor experiences in the heart of the Lake District.

We offer a range of guided activities, including Guided Walks, Outdoor Rock Climbing, Ghyll Scrambling and Mountain Skills Courses.

WHAT WE DO

Ambleside Adventure offers exciting outdoor experiences and activities designed to inspire adventure seekers of all ages.

 

We provide guided activities, public & private sessions, and bespoke courses for individuals and groups alike.

Our services help our clients build confidence, enhance their skills, and create lasting memories in the beautiful Lake District National Park.

Whether you're looking for a family outing, a corporate retreat, or a personal challenge, Ambleside Adventure has something to offer everyone.

​Public sessions are available to book between April and October. Private sessions are bookable year round.

WHO WE ARE

Over the Summer months, we work with a team of highly skilled freelancers.

All instructors hold relevant National Governing Body qualifications, alongside up-to-date First Aid, Disclosure & Barring Service checks and Safeguarding training.

JAKE

DIRECTOR

Jake grew up in Hong Kong, spending his time exploring the Country Park on foot and by kayak, and befriending every animal he could find. He has since worked around the world, gathering qualifications as he goes. He is working towards becoming a British Mountain Guide.

Qualifications: Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor, Climbing Wall Development Instructor, Paddlesport Leader, Mountain Bike Level 2 Instructor, Wilderness First Responder (80 Hour).

ELIOT

FREELANCER

Eliot is always up for an adventure, whether it’s tackling big multi-pitch climbs or taking on long hikes in the UK’s most challenging mountains. Born in Dubai, he discovered his passion for the outdoors at a young age, leading him to spend his days guiding groups across the UK.

Qualifications: Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor, Climbing Wall Development Instructor, Paddlesport Instructor, Mountain Bike Level 3 Instructor, First Aid (16 Hour), Padi Dive Master.

LOUISE

DIRECTOR

Louise grew up on the small island of Jersey, surrounded by beaches and cliffs.
She has since travelled the world having ticked off over 60 countries and counting.
Back in the UK she is working hard on making the outdoors accessible to all. 



Qualifications: Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor, Climbing Wall Instructor, Paddlesport Leader, Mountain Bike Level 2 Instructor, Wilderness First Responder (80 Hour).

AIDAN

TRAINEE

Aidan is from the concrete central of Warrington but grew up hillwalking, kayaking and rock climbing in North Wales and the sunny Lake District. Soon to be a graduate of the University of Cumbria, he's been collecting qualifications and new experiences along the way.

Qualifications: First Aid (16 Hour), Mountain Leader Training, Rock Climbing Instructor Training
